Director: Anthony Wallace
Tagline: Contains no Brian Brown massaging Mimi Rogers
A solitary patient (Corrine Grant) sits in the waiting room for a masseuse complete with its very noisy clock and annoying whale sounds played on an ancient tape recorder by the receptionist.
In the other room, the masseuse has flashbacks about his car accident and wonders if he is still able to do his job.
When it is time for the appointment, the clock suddenly stops its infernal ticking and the patient is about to get a massage she will never forget…
This may sound like the introduction blurb to a porn movie, but I swear it is just like I have described. I liked the receptionist as she is strange looking and Corrine Grant as the patient kept the same expression throughout. I thought the face she made through the hole in the massage table was funny though.
The sound was very harsh in this short, but I think it was meant to be like that. In particular the clock and the whale song that dominate the first part of the movie.
If I had to sum up this movie, I would say that it is all the waiting rooms you have ever been in combined with any visit to a new specialist you would care to name.
